It's still a great alternative, though, and offers the possibility of customization for those that want to get the most of its features.

The app also lets you to mark off areas of the room that you want the device to stay clear of like pets toys or power cords. This is a feature that's found on most robotic vacuums, and it's useful when you have specific areas of the house that require more attention than others.
You can set the K10 Plus to return to its base station every 60, 75 or 90 minutes to automatically empty its trash bin. This is a major improvement over other robots that need to be returned and manually empty. It can save you lots of time.
In my tests, I noticed that the K10 Plus' battery life was exceptional. It lasted 110 minutes on one run which is much more than the iRobot Roomba Combo Essential's 127 minutes.
